Alfred's Sweater Junior is worked top-down seamless on circular needles. The beginning of the yoke is knit in 2x2 ribbing without raglan increases. The top is then folded over to create a casing or hem (like a short tube) where the elastic band will be placed. Then, the rest of the yoke is worked with raglan increases.

Suggested needles: 3 mm (US2.5) / 60 and 80 cm (24 and 32 inches) circular needles; 3 mm (US2.5) double pointed needles (unless you are using the magic loop technique)
Materials: 350 (350) 400 (400) g Tynn Merinoull from Sandnes Garn (50 g = 175 m [191 yards]); thin elastic band (knitting-in elastic) for the neck hem.
