Carl's Cardigan
Carl’s Cardigan is knit seamlessly from the bottom up, with raglan decreases on the yoke. The body is worked in a smock stitch pattern, while the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch. The smock stitch pattern is very elastic and will make the cardigan seem much narrower than intended before washing and blocking. After washing and blocking the cardigan will have the right measurements if you have worked at the right gauge. Work a gauge swatch and wash and block it to determine the right needle size before you cast on for the cardigan itself.
