Sunday Collar
The Sunday Collar is worked from the neck edge down with increases in the rib pattern. Double knitting is worked at the beginning and end of the row to create a neat edge that does not roll. At the end, stitches are picked up along the neck edge and an i-cord edge is worked. The collar is closed at the front with a little button.
When the knitting is completed the collar should be washed and blocked, so it “opens up”.
