The North Sea Set consists of a hat and a scarf. The hat has a wide, folded rib brim, while the top of the hat is worked in stockinette stitch. The scarf is worked as a long tube, where the ends are sewn together at the end – this way the scarf does not have a right and a wrong side.
Sizes: The hat fits a head circumference of approx. 54-58 cm [21¼-22¾ inches]. The scarf is approx. 2 m [78¾ inches] long and 23 cm [9 inches] wide
Gauge: Hat: 23 sts x 32 rows in stockinette stitch with 2 strands of yarn held together on a 3 mm [US2½] needle = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches]
Scarf: 28 sts x 38 rows in stockinette stitch with one strand of yarn on a 3 mm [US2½] needle = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches]
Needles: Circular needle: 3 mm [US2½], 40 cm. Double-pointed needle: 3 mm [US2½]
